Summary: The hypermedia system MuG, developed within a project coordinated by Umberto Eco, provides a unitary representation of the events of European culture and history. It covers subjects related to political, social and economic history, as well as the history of science and technology, arts, literature, philosophy and religion, enabling the user to switch easily from one cultural aspect to the other. The system is intended as a learning tool for universities and high schools, as well as a tool for historical research, presentation, and teaching.
