HCI Bibliography Faceted Results

The new HCI Bibliography Search shows collations of up to four facets of the search results. You can explore the HCI field with these. Let's look at the HCI publications of SIGCHI President, Julie Jacko. Jacko_J* is a way to search for all variations of author names in the HCI Bibliography. The results are shown in a tabular format in a different window, but we'll be focused on the Limit: area of the form.

Subjects words appearing in subject-oriented fields such as titles, keywords, and abstracts What are the researcher's interests? The Subjects limit shows terms in decreasing order of frequency. A quick scan of the subject shows an interest in accessibility issues, especially for the visual modality.
Authors names appearing in the author field Who has worked with the researcher? The Authors limit shows several, along with variations in the name used for publication (all matched by the search Jacko_J*).
Dates years or yyyy-mm-dd in the date field What years has the researcher been active? The Dates limit shows a histogram of publications by year, starting in 1994 (a year after her dissertation with Salvendy).
Sources publication codes that identify the record type, publication, and location of items Where has the researcher published? The Source limit shows the conference and journal abbreviations.
Type Document types based on the source of the record What kind of items has the researcher published? The Type limit shows types like books, internet resources, journal articles (and volumes and whole journals), conference papers (and whole proceedings).
